As the
Solar O&M Technician, you will be responsible for providing technical support, managing operations and maintenance (O&M) services, and ensuring efficient solar installations and customer satisfaction. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Technical Support and Product Management
- Monitor and review system performance data to identify areas for improvement.
- Prepare performance reports and recommend system upgrades or enhancements.
- Provide troubleshooting support for complex issues and escalate when necessary.
- Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) and training materials to ensure smooth technical processes.
- Conduct market research to identify opportunities for product improvements and collaborate with R&D for product enhancements.
- Manage the lifecycle of solar products, ensuring timely updates and rollouts.
- Customer Service
- Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries and concerns.
- Proactively follow up with clients to ensure high levels of satisfaction.
- Log, track, and resolve customer complaints or service issues, implementing corrective actions where necessary.
- Gather and analyze customer feedback, preparing satisfaction reports and identifying areas for improvement.
- O&M Scheduling & Implementation
- Develop and coordinate detailed schedules for regular maintenance tasks.
- Oversee the execution of preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure adherence to schedules.
- Ensure that necessary tools and equipment are available for maintenance tasks.
- Monitor progress and keep stakeholders updated on task completion.
- Maintenance
- Develop and manage maintenance project plans and timelines.
- Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure material availability for maintenance tasks.
- Prepare completion reports and ensure all maintenance documentation is up to date.
- Implement quality assurance processes to ensure high-quality maintenance outcomes.
What We Are Looking For
- Qualifications:
- Minimum: Trade Tested.
- Advantageous: Wireman’s Licence.
- Experience:
- Minimum: 3 years of experience in Solar Operations and Maintenance (O&M).
- Advantageous: 5 years of proven experience in Solar O&M or a related field.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of solar system performance monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with standard operating procedures and technical processes.
- Experience with customer service and feedback collection in a technical field.
- Knowledge of scheduling, implementing, and overseeing maintenance tasks.
- Behavioral Skills:
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with customers and internal teams.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Proactive in identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
