ACCOUNTANT

My client, a giant in the manufacturing industry is seeking a dynamic, energetic, and robust Jnr Accountant at their Vereeniging branch. BCom Degree, 2-4 Years solid experience as an Accountant. MANUFACTURING industry experience is essential. Own transport. SAP necessary. Highly demanding position must be willing to work long hours.

VACANCY NOTICE:  ACCOUNTANT: Manufacturing/factory environment

My client, a giant in the manufacturing industry and part of a listed group, has a unique opportunity for a dynamic, energetic, and robust  jnr Accountant.  The positions are based in Vereeniging,  Gauteng.  BCom / Accounting degree (or similar) is a necessity.  Excellent experience on SAP required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Reviewing of monthly creditors reconciliations
• Manage imports (liaise with clearing + forwarding agents, foreign suppliers, factory personnel. Costing sheets reporting)
• Foreign creditor''s goods receipting and invoice verification
• Responsible for part of month-end journals
• General Ledger recons
• Preparation and maintenance of monthly Management Accounts (including SAP recon, queries and trial balances)
• Monthly raw materials consumption
• Preparation and journalizing of VAT returns and entries
• Debit card administration
• Transporters reconciliations
• Part of quarterly and annual Financial Reporting, working closely with the auditors and the rest of the finance team
• Part of the preparation of supporting information for budgets
• Budget uploads to SAP

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• SAP experience will be an advantage
• BCom Degree
• Minimum 2-4 years solid experience as Accountant
• Own transport
