SUMMARY:
Grabouw/Elgin Area – Western Cape: Our client is looking for a self-motivated and well-organized Administrative Assistant to join the team.
The ideal candidate will be someone residing in the Grabouw/Elgin area as this is a LIVE OUT position.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Must have Grade 12/Matric. Tertiary education advantageous
Have at least 3 years’ experience within a Farming/Packing environment
Must be computer literate (MS Office, Outlook)
Previous experience on any Farming related system advantageous
Experience on a wage/payroll/farming system would be ideal
Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment
Have a valid Code 08 drivers’ licence and own reliable transport
Good communication skills (speak and understand Afrikaans and/or English). Xhosa advantageous
Must be flexible and willing to work overtime, weekends, public holidays and night shift, when required.

RESONSIBILITIES

Process data on the various systems pertaining to picking, pruning, thinning and all other farming activities
Capture data and compile reports for Fruit Division (including Workshop and Maintenance Department)
Custodian of Fruit Division audits (Global Gap, SIZA) and benchmarking exercises
Ensure correct allocation of farming activities align with budget
Ensure a filing system is implemented and sustained for the Fruit Division
Act as Personal Assistant to General Manager and support to Production Managers
Responsible for Purchasing Orders for the Fruit Division
Coordinate all Fruit Division meetings (including record-keeping)
Coordinate all Uniform orders for Fruit Division
Assist as Receptionist when required
Assist HR Department with Fruit Division related documentation and queries when required
Ensure all admin related activities are well maintained for the Fruit Division
