Job Description
Him: Guide. Provide Guests with a superb Guiding Experience. Assist with General Maintenance within the lodge. Guest Hosting. Management of Staff.
Her: Guest Hosting, Overseeing all operational areas of the Camp/Lodge. Staff Management, Stock Control, Administration. Front of house and Back of House.
We are looking for people who can contribute as lodge/camp managers but must be people that can take a small remote camp and make it their own in terms of hospitality and experience. Looking after all aspects of the guest experience, as well as the basic maintenance.
The management we are looking for is to oversee our entire operation which consists of the main camp (with 8 tents) another Camp and a smaller satellite camps with 5 tents each.
The manager or couple will work with the Operations Manager on these projects.
We looking for a manager who can lift the general quality of the experience to a slightly higher level with the necessary attention to detail. if he/she has guiding background it will be good, some maintenance experience also, but basically general lodge management is what we need i.e. organizing and fairly good hospitality skills and experience. Accounting is very basic, since most is done at Head Office Level, but you will have to deal with some logistics and planing is key.
Local staff here a generally friendly, but need motivation and training and we really need managers who can lead by example, be innovative and enthusiastic.
Its remote and the biggest issue is the language. French is the only language here with very limited English, but most clients are English speaking! Even basic, conversational french is OK.
Qualifications
Formal Hospitality/Tourism/Guiding Qualifications are a strong advantage but mostly we are looking for well-experienced candidates with 4/5* Game Lodge/Lodge/Safari Camp Management Experience.
Skills
Hard working, organized. 5* Luxury Safari Management Experience. FRENCH SPEAKING (even if basic conversational)
Salary / Package
€ 2000 - €3000 (Euro) nett As a Couple (Neg for Single)
