SUMMARY: Assistant F&B Manager (Cost Controller)
JOB DESCRIPTION:
A complex and busy resort Hotel located in Drakensberg.
Will oversee restaurant supervisors and report to Asst GM. Able to lead with decent motivational qualities / command respect. This job reports to Asst GM on property. Totally focused on guest satisfaction levels. Good communicator – staff and especially client. MUST have experience managing POS and stock systems (Pluspoint). Previous hotel experience essential due to complexity of this resort. Good F&B knowledge and skills required.Strong on cost controls. Key! Restaurant knowledge – follows current trends. Beverage trends, and understanding of bar service importance. Able to train staff to levels of competence / excellence. Focus on increasing revenues and able to analyse business strengths and weaknesses, and financial history. Good computer literacy, general. Some IR knowledge required, some business acumen and problem solving skills. Good health and fairly fit – must be very mobile due to the number of bars and restaurants open daily. Mature ability, and understanding of working in a fairly remote area.
Relevant Qualifications will prove an advantage but not essential if exprienced in a similar role.
