This role is with a Catering Company who is contracted to a Large Corporate Organization with branches in Midrand and Pretoria.

We want to stress that this is an important role.  Outputs are important since it forms part of local and international audits. Dual reporting line between the client and the Contracted Catering Company (Employed by Catering Company). One unit is in Pretoria and the other is in Midrand. It is important that you are able to be at work by 07h30 LATEST. Must be fully Vaccinated per requirements of the client. You will have experience in either Hotels, catering companies, restaurants, but DEFINITELY with involvement in the food safety and hygiene departments of these entities.

1. Conduct routine assessments of food products.
2. Regular inspection of food production facilities and areas.
3. Ensure that compliance to Corporate Company food safety guide.
4. Compile weekly & monthly food inspector reports & ensure that corrective actions are taken & minute.

Qualifications

Grade 12. National Diploma/Degree in Food technology or kitchen background with a strong focus of HSE systems. 2-3 years experience in a food safety role.

Skills

You will need to have good computer skills in order to complete reports which include pictures. You have to be able to work under pressure and be flexible in terms of working hours. Attention to detail in terms of cleanliness of facilities and equipment is critically important. You must be presentable, but will be issued with PPE. You will do daily inspections with reports which are submitted at least three times a week. Must be able to keep a clear line of separation between yourself and the unit staff due to the role you will play in the organisation. Must be able to work with and guide people. A good understanding of Food Safety and Hygiene in catering facilities.
