JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Venue is based in Fourways and operates Wednesday to Sunday for Breakfast and Lunch. Our capacity is 300 pax per sitting.
Our client is urgently seeking a Head Chef for this busy and beautiful Restaurant/Tea Garden. This is a management level position, overseeing a complement of 10 staff. Menu development, Menu costing, Maintaining GP targets, Controlling stock / purchases / wastage, Staff Management – Rostering / training / disciplines, Kitchen Management – setting tasks / ensuring prep is completed / calling orders & expediting. The venue does at times host functions after standard operating hours.
Formal Professional Cookery/Culinary Arts Diploma.
Own Transport. Be willing and able to work weekends and some evenings.
