POSITION INFO:

Account Manager: Pretoria Region available for a fast-paced, exceptionally established Medical Business Unit with Sales Growth opportunities.

JOB SUMMARY:

• The Account Manager will be responsible for promoting and selling products within the Provincial and Private Sector. The role involves building and maintaining relationships with clients, providing procedural support, product demonstrations, and training, and achieving sales targets.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Sales and Business Development:
• Promote and sell a range of Urology and Pelvic Health products into the Provincial and Private Sector.
• Drive Tenders and Buy-Outs within the Provincial Hospitals.
• Laser Procedural Support.
• Identify and develop needs and new business opportunities.
• Achieve and exceed sales targets and KPIs.
• Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities.

• Customer Relationship Management:
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
• Provide high-quality customer service and support.
• Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a timely manner.

• Product Knowledge and Training:
• Stay up to date with product knowledge, industry trends, and competitive products.
• Provide product demonstrations and training to healthcare professionals.
• Assist clients in selecting appropriate products for their needs.

• Administrative Duties:
• Prepare and submit sales reports, forecasts, and other documentation as required including CRM reports, quarterly feedback and regular academic meetings.
• Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client interactions.
• Manage inventory and ensure timely delivery of products to clients.

• Compliance and Ethics:
• Adhere to company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards.
• Ensure all sales activities comply with relevant legal and regulatory requirements.

QUALIFICATION:

• Education: Medical Qualification & Background is non-negotiable.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in medical sales preferably with theatre support in surgical supplies, with existing relationships within the hospitals and relationships with Surgeons especially Urologists would be very advantageous.
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing market share.

• Skills:
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong negotiation and sales skills.
• Ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
• Self-motivated, with a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently and within a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint/CRM tools etc.).

• Other Requirements:
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively.
• Own Vehicle.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends (if necessary).
• Afrikaans (First Language).

• Reporting:
• The Account Manager will report to the Regional Manager.
