Accountant

SUMMARY:
Our client in the Financial Services industry is looking for an Accountant, in Kimberley, Northern Cape.

POSITION INFO:

 Responsibilities:

Capturing of customer and supplier invoices.
Loading of bank payments.
Prepare and process journals entries to trial balance level.
Complete general ledger operations.
Monthly supplier and customer closings and reconciliations.
Prepare analysis of accounts as requested by various departments within the business.
Administer accounts receivable and accounts payable.
Accountable for accounts/ bank reconciliations.
Assisting in preparing monthly management accounts and accompanying reports.
Ensuring adequate accounting practices are followed regarding VAT, PAYE, Income Tax and WCA.
Assist with preparation for annual financial audits.
Assist with ad hoc tasks.

Requirements:
BCom in Accounting is essential.
SAIPA/SAICA articles will be advantageous.
At least 3 years accounting experience.
Xero, Draftworx, CaseWare software experience is beneficial.
Strong Microsoft Excel knowledge.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to identify opportunities for cost or time saving.
Problem analysis and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work patiently within a team.
Adherence to deadlines.
Driven and performance orientated.
Good command of English & Afrikaans language.

Remuneration:
R20 000 – R30 000 per month.
