Accountant - Dunkeld West

SUMMARY:
Well Established Company based in the Dunkeld West area is urgently seeking a Qualified Accountant with a stable career record to join their team.

POSITION INFO:

MONTHLY DUTIES

• Processing and allocating Debtor’s payments on SAP, according to their recons.
• Processing outgoing payments and allocating Creditor’s payments on SAP.
• Calculating DRiV/Federal Mogul rebates on Excel and processing Credit notes in SAP.
• Sending Debtors age analysis/quarterly management figures to Nedbank
• Updating the spreadsheet for associates and drop shipments for CGIC purposes, and submitting figures to CGIC
• Collating salary deductions and sending on Excel
• Journals for management figures which includes:

         - Calculation of discount allowed and received provisions,
         - Bringing in salaries,
         - Any changes to depreciation
         - Any changes to prepayments

• Checking imports sales vs costs to ensure there are matching sales and purchase invoices
• Balancing import Creditors
• Updating audit schedules where necessary – including any recons required
• Management figures – setting up and checking
• Submission of Stats SA returns where applicable (some monthly, some quarterly, some annual)
• Checking Creditors recons provided, and loading these in Nedbank for payment
• Setting up payments for monthly costs
• Setting up VAT schedule and submitting return

AD HOC

• Loading weekly payments for clearing agents
• Loading sundry payments as required
• Providing sundry reports/schedules as required
• Obtaining import advance payment notification references from SARS
• Credit applications for suppliers, or maintaining of credit limits, including providing information to credit bureaus, meetings to view financials, etc.
• Updating Debtors limits on CGIC when needed
• Sundry invoices to suppliers etc as required for rebates/marketing
• Managing SAP/Qlikview changes that may be required
• Recruitment – contracts etc
• General assistance with queries from finance department

ANNUAL DUTIES

• Completed audit schedules
• Manage audit
• Check AFS set up by auditors
• Rebate schedules 
• Profit Splits – both main and groups
• Submission of reports for annual SDL and Employment Equity returns to consultants when due

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Matric
• BCOM in Accounting / Finance
• Minimum of 7 to 10 years experience in the Accounting Field
• Must have management experience
