SUMMARY:
We’re on the lookout for a detail-driven and experienced Accountant to join our client’s dynamic finance team on a fixed-term contract. If you're passionate about financial reporting, tax compliance, and implementing solid accounting controls, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare annual financial statements for multiple entities using Caseware and Draftworx
Submit IT14 tax returns via e-filing and manage provisional tax returns
Reconcile and submit VAT and Withholding Tax returns for South African and international entities
Assist in the compilation of annual budgets and forecasts
Conduct monthly bank reconciliations and general journal processing
Prepare and consolidate monthly management accounts
Manage trial balances, general ledger, and sub-ledger reconciliations
Handle month-end and year-end closures
Liaise with internal and external auditors
Review and authorize payments via FNB Online
Drive the development and implementation of internal accounting policies and controls

Requirements:

BCom Honours or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (BCom)
Completion of SAICA/SAIPA articles (advantageous)
Experience in Caseware and Draftworx is essential
Strong knowledge of group reporting, tax regulations, and e-filing
High attention to detail and excellent analytical and reconciliation skills
Ability to manage multiple entities and meet tight deadlines
