POSITION INFO:
Job Description:
As the Accountant, your duties and responsibilities could include the following:
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for properties
Analyse financial performance, identify trends, and provide insights to relevant stakeholders
Ensure that financial statements are compliant with accounting standards and regulations
Reconcile bank accounts, ledgers, and other financial records for accuracy
Ensure that all transactions are correctly recorded and discrepancies are resolved
Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, receipts and payments
Manage tenant billings and payments
Monitor cash flow for all portfolios
Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including VAT, property taxes and other applicable taxes
Ensure accurate tenant ledgers are maintained
Monitor property expenses
Additional ad-hoc duties as required by management
Skills & Experience:
Post article accounting experience is highly beneficial
A minimum of 2 years experience in a relevant field
Qualification:
Relevant finance degree
Completed SAIPA/SAICA articles
