SUMMARY:
Our client a leading manufacturing Company part of a Multinational Company requires a Senior Bookkeeper & Inventory Controller with a relevant bookkeeping/accounting tertiary qualification PLUS approximately 10 years' working experience in Senior Bookkeeping AND proven experience with SAGE Evolution Accounting Package. Work experience in a Company having inventory holding will be advantageous.
POSITION INFO:
Market Related basic salary PLUS 100% employee Medical Aid contribution (Discovery Classic Comprehensive) AND 100% Life Insurance, and Provident Fund contributions paid by the Company
Responsibilities include Bookkeeping to Audit Phase, Inventory Processing and Control
Requirements:
- Matric Certificate.
- Relevant Diploma/ Certificate Bookkeeping/ Finance or other.
- +-10 years’ working experience in Senior Bookkeeping.
- Proven experience with SAGE Evolution Accounting Package.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Tenacity, flexibility and ability to meet strict and tight deadlines essential.
- Experience working within a - Multinational and Intercompany Transactions- an advantage.
- Foreign Exchange and Rate of Exchange transactions – an advantage.
- First Language - English.
- Must have own transport.
Key Responsibilities (but not limited to):- Maintain complete and accurate financial records up to Balance Sheet.
- General ledger and lead sheet maintenance.
- Account Receivables & Customer ledger processing and reconciliations.
- Account Payables & Supplier ledger processing and reconciliations.
- Bank and payment preparation and reconciliations. Foreign Exchange Transactions.
- Credit card statements and expense claim reconciliations.
- Process monthly journals and adjustments.
- Maintain fixed asset register.
- Assist with month-end and year-end processes, journals and reconciliations.
Inventory Management:- Manage inventory control systems and processes (experience in a company having Inventory holding - an advantage).
- Customer Liaison for spares orders.
- Quotations, orders, invoices, stock preparation and distribution.
- Plan and oversee stock takes
Other:- Visa and travel planning and control.
- Back-Office support and ad hoc administrative duties.
- General Office orders – refreshments, canteen and stationery.
