POSITION INFO:
Qualifications:

• Matric is Essential
• Booking course or equivalent is an advantage

• Pastel Evolution proficiency (Required)
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in an accounting role
• Strong Excel skills (Intermediate level, essential for reconciliations)
• Solid experience with cashbook management (Required)
• Experience in Debtors and Creditors (Required)
• Knowledge of ethical accounting practices and commitment to maintaining standards
• Ability to adhere to company policies and procedures
• Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
• Ability to follow instructions from the Financial Manager
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Retail industry experience is a plus
• Comfortable managing accounts across multiple companies
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively under pressure
• Accuracy and excellent time management skills
• Deadline-driven and self-motivated
• A proactive, self-starter mindset

• Daily cashbook entry and processing across multiple bank accounts
• Weekly bank reconciliations for multiple accounts
• Submit final monthly bank reconciliations by the 5th of the month for manager approval
• Accurate and timely manual processing of invoices and credit notes, in line with company guidelines
• Customer communication and document submission as needed
• Ensure credit note approval processes are followed before processing
• Creditor reconciliation and submit monthly payment details by the 19th of each month
• Follow all company procedures regarding invoicing and credit notes
• Manage Debtor control, including follow-ups on outstanding balances, and prepare accurate monthly statements
• Reconcile intercompany loan accounts
• Perform daily cash-up verification for retail stores
• Carry out daily cycle counts and reconciliation for retail stores
• Prepare daily purchase orders for non-stock purchases
• Ensure accurate and timely payments to suppliers
• Process supplier invoices promptly and accurately
• Compile monthly creditor reconciliations
• Maintain daily electronic filing of financial documents
• Assist with financial tasks across other companies within the group as required
• Process stock journals in accordance with company guidelines
• Respond to customer and supplier queries
• Additional tasks and responsibilities as needed by the company
