Accounts Administrator

SUMMARY:
A well-established, privately-owned pharmaceutical company has an immediate vacancy for an experienced Accounts Administrator in the Port Elizabeth-based operation. 

The company specialises in manufacturing and supplying all-natural health products to the local and international markets.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday.  07h15 to 16h15, with 3o mins lunch
Remuneration: R10 000 to R14 000 (Monthly, no benefits), + discretionary bonus paid in December.  15 Working days leave.  Annual December shutdown.
Commencement date:  Soonest, ideally not later than 4 November 2024.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reporting to the owners, and as part of a small team your performance areas include, but are not limited to :

• Debtors and Creditors (from order processing to the capturing of quotes, invoicing, payments and reconciliations up to and including the age analysis) using Pastel.
• Update supplier and customer data.
• Preparation of quotations, ensuring the upkeep of product and pricing lists.
• Bookkeeping to Trial Balance is highly advantageous.
• Previous payroll experience is also beneficial.
• Frontline duties.
• Build strong customer relations.

• Minimum 2+ years of accounts and administration experience in a similar frontline role.
• Matric is essential. Accounting is advantageous.
• A tertiary certificate/ diploma in bookkeeping is preferable.
• Proficiency in MS Word and Excel - essential.
• Fluent in English – essential requirement. The ability to speak Afrikaans is advantageous.
• Good written, spoken and electronic communication and grammatical skills – essential.
• Open to SA citizens with a clear criminal and credit history.
• Valid unendorsed Driver’s License is essential, with own vehicle (preferred).

• Must possess an ownership mentality and a willingness to take responsibility for tasks through to completion.
• Highly organised, good at multi-tasking and able to deal with people at all levels.
