Accounts Administrator– East London

SUMMARY:
Our client based in East London is currently looking to employ an Accounts Administrator.

POSITION INFO:
Requirements:

• Matric certificate.
• Diploma/certificate in Bookkeeping, Accounting, Finance, or relevant field.
• Minimum of three years proven work experience in a similar role.
• Experience with the fuel management systems WinBranch and Namos is a requirement!
• Knowledge and experience of the Zero accounting system will also be a big advantage.
• Ability to take instruction from superiors and work in a team environment.
• Experience with spreadsheets.
• Honesty, integrity and reliability.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Advantageous: candidates based in the East London area.

• Performing reconciliations of: Cash on hand (daily), Card sales transactions (daily), Payments and accounts payable (monthly).
• Daily bookkeeping of transactions on site.
• Assist with stock control processes as and when required.
• Assist the Senior Accountant and Office Manager with preparing budget forecasts and financial reports that may be requested by management.
• Ensure timely bank payments and monthly financial analysis packs.
• Audit financial transactions and documents to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Comply with financial policies and regulations.
• Coordinate with Head Office and external auditors and prepare for audits to ensure compliance with required regulations.
• Maintain internal controls over financial transactions and reporting.
• Contribute to cost-reduction initiatives and financial efficiency improvements.
• Data capturing.
