Accounts Payable Accountant

SUMMARY:
Long-standing manufacturing concern in the southern suburbs is in search of an Accounts Payable Accountant to join their finance department. You do not need to be an AP specialist to apply for this role. All you need is a minimum of 4 years bookkeeping experience and a national diploma or degree in finance. Apply today!

POSITION INFO:

Duties and Responsibilities will include but is not limited to:
Lead the Accounts Payable invoicing process including reviewing and processing a high volume of invoices accurately and in a timely manner both foreign and local suppliers
Reconcile supplier payment reconciliations to ensure accuracy
Maintain and reconcile accounts-payable ledgers
Manage the month-end closing process
Supplier Management including effectively communicating with vendors regarding invoice discrepancies, payment inquiries, and other related matters as well as managing the supplier master file
Handle AP-related audit queries
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate allocation of expenses
Ensure compliance with payment terms and negotiate favourable terms when necessary
Generate reports on Accounts Payable activities and expense allocations
 
Qualification:
Finance Degree or Diploma (non-negotiable)
