As an Accounts Payable Accountant, you will oversee the full accounts payable function. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting skills, problem-solving abilities, and excellent administrative and organizational capabilities.

Duties:

Process invoices and manage payments
Conduct reconciliations and vendor relationship management
Identify and implement process improvements
Handle employee expense claims
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
Conduct analytical reviews and provide actionable insights to management
Assist with year-end audits
Prepare and submit financial reports to management and stakeholders

Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
Over 5 years of experience in accounts payable
In-depth knowledge of South African financial laws and regulations
Expertise in foreign currency transactions
Strong understanding of IFRS
Familiarity with group structures and consolidations (experience with group entities and foreign subsidiaries is a plus)
Proficiency in accounting software, including Sage 300
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
