As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will responsible for the following:

• Ensuring the efficient and smooth operation of the accounts payable function.
• Completing monthly reconciliations of creditor accounts within set deadlines.
• Processing accruals for outstanding invoices at month-end to maintain accuracy.
• Building and maintaining strong supplier relationships to reduce lead times and ensure timely service delivery.
• Processing inter-company invoices and accruals, ensuring deadlines are met.
• Managing purchase orders, reviewing long-outstanding orders for validity.
• Preparing payments and banking documentation with precision and on time.
• Communicating all anticipated payments to the accountant for cash flow analysis and forecasting.
• Maintaining up-to-date supplier banking details in the online banking profile.
• Capturing fixed asset invoices accurately and ensuring compliance with the company’s fixed asset purchase policy.
• Reviewing controlled stationery reconciliations and processing related journals within specified deadlines.
• Promptly handling all insurance claims and ensuring that complete supporting documentation is submitted.
• Reviewing petty cash reconciliations and general ledger accounts for necessary reallocations.
• Identifying and reporting on any excessive spending or potential opportunities for cost savings.
• Maintaining the supplier database and ensuring B-BBEE compliance, including compiling quarterly scorecard reports.
• Strictly adhering to company policies and procedures.
