SUMMARY:
Our client is currently seeking an Agricultural/ Irrigation Design Engineer for a 12-month performance-linked contract. The ideal applicant must be able to start immediately and have experience designing functional irrigation schemes.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Planning an irrigation system for a specific crop including feasibility assessment
Design pivot, sprinkler, and drip irrigation systems
Conduct infield hydraulics calculations
Choose the correct equipment to ensure water is delivered as per crop requirements
Prepare farm layout plans and infrastructure component construction drawings and specifications

Qualifications:

Min. 10 years relevant work experience
BSc Agricultural Engineering
ECSA Professional Registration beneficial

Experience:

AutoCAD, Civ3D, Model Maker, and Irrimaker
Traceable experience in design
Operation and maintenance of a strong irrigation scheme
