Job purpose:
Aircraft mechanics are responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing aircraft structural systems. They also help maintain hydraulic and mechanical systems, identify repair methods, and schedule routine updates. They may be employed in the logistics and/or aviation industries.
Examine finished work to guarantee that maintenance work attains standards and that aircrafts are prepared for operations Take care of repair logs and document all preventive and corrective aircraft maintenance activities Organize conventional and special examinations as necessitated by standard regulations Look out for invisible cracks in fuselage, hydraulic units, oxygen systems, rigging, gaskets, electrical systems, seals, and distortions.
Aircraft Mechanic Responsibilities:
Scheduling and overseeing routine maintenance checks. Implementing and adhering to strict safety guidelines. Creating and maintaining repair logs and records. Using hand tools, diagnostic tests, and gauges to identify hydraulic and mechanical malfunctions.
