SUMMARY:
Apparel Accounts/Sales Manager (CPT)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Customer Service

  • Maintain an effective hours call and professional service to all customers
  • Keeping informed of market trends and the changing needs of the customer
  • Develop a call schedule to adequately cover territory and a weekly report back
  • Ensuring deliveries take place on time to all customers
  • Territory coverage (Brand Distribution Maps), regular customer visits regardless of location
  • Prioritize and satisfy customer enquiries and requests in a timely manner

Sales

  • Meetings to be set upon a seasonal basis to review new ranges and ensure new ranges are delivered on time.
  • Achieving and exceeding sales and GP % sales targets
  • Compilation of sales reports as and when required

Merchandising / Marketing

  • Work with customer to negotiate best brand exposure and VM at face of retail marketing to create brand awareness
  • Work with marketing on POS representing our brand in retail
  • Ensuring that the client is aware of new products
  • Identify brand opportunities and maximize instore space allocations
  • Ensure all marketing material is used inside correctly and is current/relevant
  • Update and remove old marketing materials
  • Attend road show and showcase new products to clients / customers

  • Keep up to date with competitors’ products and sales
  • Understanding of brands and competitors by customers to ensure growth opportunities are maximized

Minimum Requirements:

  • Matric
  • Diploma / Degree in Marketing, Sales, or relevant qualifications (desirable)
  • Minimum 3 years Sales and Brand management experience
  • Strong Footwear / Apparel sales background (desirable)
  • Advanced analytical skills
  • Valid driver’s License with own vehicle (compulsory)
  • Must be able to work independently and strive for excellence
