JOB DESCRIPTION:

APPAREL MERCHANDISER

REQUIREMENTS

Must have minimum 5 years Merchandise Experience.

Diploma in fashion / Retail

Assertive Personality

Knowledge of Imports

Overseas Travel

Excellent Administration Skills

Computer Literacy

Good Communication Skills

Must know Photoshop / illustrator

DUTIES

Planning product ranges and preparing sales and stock plans in conjunction with buyers;

Liaising with buyers,

Maintaining a comprehensive library of appropriate data

Optimizing the sales volume and profitability of designated product areas

Planning budgets and presenting sales forecasts and figures for new season

Trend Research

Developing relationships with buyer and planners from the chain stores

Costing’s

Gathering information relating to the customer reaction to products

Accompanying buyers on visits to manufacturers to appreciate production processes

Identifying production and supply difficulties and dealing with them as and when they occur
