Job Specification: Application Owner (On-site - Contract Role)

Role Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Application Owner to lead the management and development of a critical in-house application. This role requires an equal balance of technical expertise and people management skills to ensure seamless operation, continuous improvement, and successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Application Management:
- Oversee the full lifecycle of the application, including maintenance, upgrades, and performance optimization.
- Ensure system reliability, security, and scalability to meet evolving business needs.
Project Leadership:
- Drive the re-platforming and re-engineering of the application, taking ownership of end-to-end execution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and efficient project delivery.
- Implement project management best practices, tracking milestones, and managing risks.
Technical Expertise:
- Provide technical guidance and support to development teams.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions to enhance application performance.
People Management:
- Lead and mentor a team of developers and support staff, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Conduct performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and support professional growth.
- Ensure clear communication and alignment between technical teams and business stakeholders.

Skills & Qualifications:

Proven experience as an Application Owner, Product Owner, or similar role.
Strong technical background with hands-on experience in software development or system architecture.
Demonstrated ability to manage and deliver complex technical projects.
Excellent leadership and people management skills.
Proficiency in project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, etc.).
Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
