Area Manager - Cosmetics, Skin Care & Fragrances

SUMMARY:

The Area Manager for Cosmetics, Skin Care and Fragrances is responsible for overseeing multiple beauty counters, ensuring sales targets are met, optimizing stock performance, and maintaining exceptional customer service. This role requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and experience managing multiple counters within the beauty industry.

POSITION INFO:

Multi-Counter Management & Operations

• Oversee the daily operations of multiple beauty counters across different store locations.

• Ensure brand consistency, visual merchandising, and stock presentation at all counters.

• Conduct regular store visits to assess performance, identify challenges, and implement solutions.

Sales & Business Development

• Drive sales performance across all counters to meet and exceed revenue targets.

• Develop and implement sales strategies to maximize counter profitability.

• Monitor key sales metrics (sell-through rates, average transaction value, etc.) and take corrective actions as needed.

Inventory & Stock Management

• Ensure optimal stock levels across all counters based on demand and sales trends.

• Work closely with Planners and Buyers to manage inventory, allocations, and replenishment.

• Identify slow-moving stock and propose markdowns, promotions, or reallocation strategies.

Customer Experience & Brand Representation

• Ensure that beauty consultants deliver a premium customer experience aligned with the brand’s image.

• Train counter teams on product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer engagement.

• Monitor customer feedback and implement strategies to enhance service levels at all counters.

Team Leadership & Development

• Recruit, train, and mentor counter managers and beauty consultants.

• Conduct regular performance evaluations and set clear KPIs for teams.

• Motivate and support staff to achieve personal and counter-specific sales targets. 

• Marketing & Promotions Execution

• Ensure successful execution of national and regional marketing campaigns across all counters.

• Work with marketing teams to develop counter-specific promotional activities.

• Monitor the effectiveness of promotions and recommend improvements.

Financial & Reporting Responsibilities

• Manage area budgets, expenses, and P&L to ensure profitability.

• Analyze sales trends, market conditions, and competitor activities across multiple counters.

• Provide regular reports on sales performance, stock movement, and customer insights.
