Armored Vehicles Draughtsman

SUMMARY:
A defence company is seeking the services of a mechanical draughtsman.

POSITION INFO:
We are currently seeking a highly skilled Armored Vehicles Draughtsman to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings, blueprints, and designs for armored vehicles, ensuring that all specifications meet rigorous safety, functionality, and military standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed and accurate technical drawings and schematics for armored vehicle components and systems.
• Work closely with engineers, designers, and production teams to refine designs and ensure manufacturability.
• Conduct design reviews, ensuring all drawings meet safety, regulatory, and quality standards.
• Assist with the modification and redesign of existing vehicle designs for improved performance or compliance with new regulations.
• Utilize CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, CATIA, SolidWorks) to produce 2D and 3D models.
• Ensure that designs comply with defense industry standards and requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve technical challenges.
• Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and technologies relevant to armored vehicle design.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Draughtsman, preferably with a focus on armored vehicles or heavy engineering.
• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, CATIA, SolidWorks, etc.) with the ability to create and interpret complex technical drawings.
• Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems related to armored vehicle design.
• Knowledge of materials used in armored vehicle construction, including armor, ballistic protection, and related components.
• Ability to work with precision, attention to detail, and an understanding of safety standards.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• A degree or qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Previous experience in the defense or military sector is an advantage.
