Exciting Opportunity for an Experienced Instrumentation Technician
Location: Mbombela, Mpumalanga
Are you a skilled Instrumentation Technician with expertise in a fast-paced industrial environment? Our client is seeking a proactive professional to join their engineering instrumentation team and play a critical role in ensuring equipment uptime and operational efficiency through maintenance, repairs, and automation.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance, fault-finding, and repairs on instrumentation equipment.
- Develop and program PLCs (preferably Schneider) and SCADA mimic pages (preferably Adroit Classic).
- Conduct plant inspections and address safety and maintenance concerns.
- Execute project work and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Monitor equipment performance and implement improvements.
Minimum Requirements
- N3/Matric with Mathematics and Science.
- National Diploma in Electrical Engineering (Light Current) or Process Instrumentation.
- Trade Certification as an Instrumentation Artisan.
- 3-4 years’ experience in an industrial environment.
- Advanced PLC and SCADA programming skills.
- Computer literacy (Intermediate to Advanced).
- IT networking experience (Ethernet).
- Valid driver’s license.
- Must be able to work in hazardous environments and able to work standby
