Assistant Accountant ( 3 month Contract)

POSITION INFO:
We are looking for a skilled Assistant Accountant to join our team on a 3-month contract with the possibility of becoming permanent. If you have a passion for accounting, specialize in debit and credit, and are experienced with SAP, this could be the perfect role for you!

Position: Assistant Accountant
Contract: 3 months (with the potential to become permanent)
Salary: R 30 000 per month
Location: Cape Town

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage debit and credit transactions to ensure financial accuracy.
• Assist with month-end financial closing and reporting activities.
• Maintain general ledger and ensure it is accurate and up to date.
• Reconcile accounts, including bank statements and supplier invoices.
• Assist with financial audits, preparing necessary reports and documentation.
• Work with SAP for day-to-day financial tasks and reporting.
• Collaborate with senior accountants to ensure compliance with company policies.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes as needed.

• Proven experience as an Assistant Accountant or in a similar role.
• BCom Accounting degree (essential).
• Strong knowledge of debit and credit accounting principles.
• Proficiency in SAP is essential.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Relevant qualification in accounting or finance is preferred.
