JOB DESCRIPTION:

Purpose of the Job:

The Assistant BIDS Manager will report to the BIDS Manager. The primary responsibility of the Bids Assistant Manager is to ensure that daily responsibilities of the BIDS Department are maintained at the highest level and ensure adherence to prescribed BIDS/Tender policies and procedures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist the BIDS Manager to ensure operational effectiveness within the BIDS Department
• Lead sessions with bid / proposal team members and key stakeholders
• Coordinate and review proposal input from a variety of stakeholders
• Ensure proposal documents follow standard formatting and quality standards
• Supervision of Bid Clerks / Administrator
• Manage specific Adhoc projects as allocated
• Ensure adherence to prescribed Bids/Tender policies and procedures
• Ensure highest quality level of Tender is consistently achieved
• Compilation of Bids/Tender document from beginning to end
• Attend Bids/Tender briefing when required to do so
• Pro-actively identify and action needs analysis for the Tender team

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Matric Certified
• Strong PC Skills (Microsoft Office Suite with MS Word / Excel being a priority)
• Driver’s license would be an advantage
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Bid / Proposal Management
• Minimum 3 years’ experience working with Tenders /Bids in the Security and Property Care industry would be an added advantage
• Aptitude for numbers and working with costings (Account background would be an advantage)
