Who We're Looking For:
The Bay Hotel, perfectly situated in the heart of Camps Bay with the breathtaking Twelve Apostles Mountain range as a backdrop and the Atlantic Ocean just steps away, is searching for an experienced Food & Beverage Manager to join our exceptional team. As the Food & Beverage Manager, you’ll lead our F&B operations with a commitment to excellence that enhances every guest’s experience. In this role, you’ll oversee all aspects of food and beverage service, from crafting memorable dining experiences to managing staff performance and ensuring that our high standards of quality, presentation, and service are consistently met. Your day-to-day will involve working closely with our culinary and service teams, refining menus, managing budgets, and maintaining inventory to ensure smooth and profitable operations. You’ll focus on enhancing guest satisfaction, implementing innovative service ideas, and upholding our brand’s reputation for luxury and sophistication. With a passion for hospitality, attention to detail, and strong leadership skills, you’ll be integral in creating extraordinary dining moments that guests will remember long after they leave. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Grade 12 or Equivalent
- Accommodation Certificate/Hotel School diploma is advantageous.
- Minimum 2 years of previous experience in a similar position within a 4/5-star environment.
- Familiar with all duties and procedures in the F&B Department
- MS Office (Word, Excel and Email) is essential
- Sound Opera experience

- Ensure service levels are maintained and sustained
- Ensure quality and concepts are implemented and maintained
- Ensure stock control system is in place
- Operate and present according to the guidelines of the Food and Beverage Custodian
- Producing management reports as required
- Be familiar with guest staying at the hotel
- Upsell F&B, accommodation and tourism services
- Inform guests of current specials
- Schedule staff hours and assign duties for staff.
- Establish standards for personnel performance and customer service.
- Maintain dress code standards
- Conduct performance appraisals
- Implementation of the SOP’s.
- Progressive discipline in conjunction with HR
- Ensure quality and concepts are implemented and maintained
- Ensure stock control system is in place
- Operate and present according to the guidelines of the Food and Beverage Custodian
