JOB DESCRIPTION:

Assistant Front Office Manager | Bela Bela | Private Lodge

We are looking for ASSISTANT FRONT OFFICE MANAGER to join the team of a well-known, 4-star private game reserve located in Bela Bela region.

This is a busy, high-volume but friendly environment that will suit an organized person with great communication skills and plenty of team spirit.

Reporting directly to the Rooms Division Manager for the lodge, you will be responsible for Front Office duties including but not limited to; check in and out of guests, reservations, guest enquiries and requests in line with business strategies. Support Rooms Division Manager Managing of Front Office Department.

Key Performance Areas:
  • Must be capable of making reservations via phone, or in writing or on the booking system. Innkeeper experience will be to your advantage.
  • Must be capable in dealing with guest queries and/or complaints.
  • Capturing of arrivals.
  • Check in and out of guests.
  • Daily admin duties.
  • Daily Cash up.
  • Weekly Reports.
  • Must be able to stand in and execute duties of the Rooms Division Manager while she is on off days / Annual leave.
  • Manage Front Office Department.
  • Sorting out of guest complaints and solve guest problems as and when they occur.
Experience and other requirements:
  • Must have minimum of 3-years’ experience in Reception / Assistant Front Office Manager duties within the hospitality industry.
  • Planning, executing, monitoring, and reporting skills.
  • Bilingual in both English and Afrikaans with good writing skills.
  • Computer skills – Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Solid interpersonal skills.
  • Great problem solver.
  • Must be prepared to go the extra mile.
Person Requirements:
  • Self-Starter.
  • Problem Solving.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Team Player.
  • Presentable Appearance.
  • To start ASAP.
 Salary package:
  • Basic salary is market related and also based on experience and skills
  • Live in position – single accommodation, meals excluded
  • Provident fund contributions
