SUMMARY:
Our Client is looking for a Assistant General Manager to join their team

POSITION INFO:
Area/Location: Hoedspruit

Outputs:

Create delicious, innovative food within group standards.
Showcase passion for South African flavours while understanding international food preferences.
Work independently with creativity and innovation.
Adapt flexibly to occupancy changes.
Foster positive interactions with all staff.
Communicate effectively with managers.
Maintain good discipline, fair treatment, and act as a role model for the team.
Implement strong waste management practices.
Upskill chefs and maintain kitchen standards

Skills Required:

Creative menu planning and versatile cooking skills.
Great attention to detail.
Strong administrative skills.
Effective communication with staff, suppliers, and guests.
Good knowledge of wine.

Knowledge Required (Qualifications or Training):

3 to 4 years of relevant experience.
Passion for creating exceptional food.
Formal or tertiary food qualification.

Financial Responsibilities:

Maintain budget control and ensure adherence to financial targets.
Stock control and regular stock takes.
Ensure correct allocation of expenditures.

Rooms Division:

Oversee housekeeping and front office departments in collaboration with the HOD.
Ensure the lodge maintains required aesthetic standards.

Food and Beverage / Kitchen:

Maintain cost controls as per standards.
Assist with event planning and execution.
Support menu planning and cost control.

Attributes:

Mature, responsible, and well-spoken.
Well-groomed and presentable.
Strong leadership abilities.
Positive team player with a hands-on approach.
Strong initiative and problem-solving skills.
Excellent guest interaction abilities.
Passionate about personal growth and training.
Sober habits, NO DRUG USE.
