POSITION INFO:

We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Assistant Manager. In this hands-on leadership role, you will assist in managing the daily receiving and inventory processes, ensuring efficient stock flow, and supporting a high level of operational accuracy. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, previous experience in stock management, and a passion for optimizing operational efficiency. Minimum Requirements

• Matric
• Qualification in Management will be advantageous
• Previous experience in a receiving, inventory, or stock management role, preferably in retail
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work well with a team and across departments
• Ability to lift and move stock (physical demands)
• Proficient in inventory management systems and basic computer software
• Knowledge of warehouse and receiving best practices and safety protocols
• Experience in training and mentoring team members
• A customer-first mindset with a focus on efficiency and accuracy

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and support the receiving team in the unloading, checking, and storing of goods
• Ensure the accurate and timely processing of inventory and deliveries
• Assist in maintaining proper stock levels, ensuring the organization and accessibility of received products
• Collaborate with store managers to manage inventory control and ensure accurate stock records
• Implement best practices for receiving processes, reducing errors, damages, and discrepancies
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized receiving area in compliance with health and safety regulations
• Assist in training and developing team members to ensure high standards of performance and efficiency
• Monitor and report on receiving department metrics, such as delivery schedules, accuracy, and inventory levels
• Work closely with other departments to ensure seamless product flow and timely stock replenishment
• Handle any receiving issues or discrepancies and escalate as necessary
