JOB DESCRIPTION:

Assistant Service and Repair Centre Manager with experience managing the activities and staff of a busy service centre repairing industrial based equipment. Position is based in the Johannesburg West area

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Assist with the managing and controlling of the various operations of the Service Centre
  • Assist with managing the forward planning and direction of functions within the Service Centre
  • Facilitate and implement changes to improve the service provided to dealers and customers
  • Improve cost efficiency and productivity within the Service Centre
  • Reporting on overall efficiency and performance of the Service Centre
  • Responsible for job allocation, job flow including job scheduling
  • Co-ordinate service centre resources efficiently as per ongoing requirements – equipment, labour, operations
  • Assist with strategic expansion projects
  • Respond to customer requests for updates and ensure optimum customer communication
  • Ensure information is accurate and customer satisfaction is always achieved
  • Review feedback from customers and follow up to ensure total customer satisfaction
  • Investigate customer complaints promptly as well as any concerns arising from product failures
  • Effect appropriate action and solutions to product failures
  • Promote a safe working environment for staff and customers
  • Assist with analysing current procedures to identify opportunities for improvement of the Service Centre
  • Maintain and build good relationships with customers
  • Identify staff that require on-going training and implement training opportunities to ensure their skills are improved
  • Assist with ensuring the adequate maintenance of tools, equipment and materials in the Service Centre
  • Provide technical guidance and positive leadership
  • Ensure that all service and repair work meet the expected quality standards

 

 

Requirements

  • Grade 12
  • Relevant Tertiary qualification or Bachelors degree
  • Minimum of 5 to 8 years Management experience in an equipment repair and service environment is essential
  • Experience managing on site and field service employees
  • Excellent communication skills with customers and staff at all levels
  • Customer solution orientated
  • Able to look beyond the initial customer enquiry and identify other business opportunities
  • Computer literate - MS Office, SAP, Syspro, JD Edwards or similar package
  • Good financial skills
  • South African citizens only
