Auto Electrician – Opencast Mining (Rustenburg)

Salary: From R40,000 per month

Location: Rustenburg, North West

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Auto Electrician to join our client's team in Rustenburg for an opencast mining operation. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of auto electrical systems on all vehicles and earthmoving machinery, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with safety regulations.

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities:

✅ Investigate, diagnose, and perform trade-related maintenance and repairs on equipment and machinery as required.
✅ Attend to defects identified in pre-start reports, breakdown sheets, and over-inspection reports.
✅ Conduct over-inspections on work completed by apprentices and operatives, providing feedback and guidance where necessary.
✅ Develop, modify, construct, and install auto electrical systems to ensure the safe and efficient operation of equipment.
✅ Adhere to mine safety regulations and company policies at all times.

Minimum Requirements:

✔ Grade 12 / N3 qualification
✔ Recognized Auto Electrical Trade Certificate (Red Seal)
✔ 2-3 years’ experience in auto electrical maintenance and repairs within the mining or heavy machinery sector
✔ Valid Driver’s License
✔ Medically fit for duty
