SUMMARY:

We are seeking an Auto Electrician (Aviation) for a permanent vacancy based in East London, Eastern Cape.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:

3+ years’ experience as an auto electrician
Previous aircraft electrical systems troubleshooting, fabrication, installation and maintenance will be highly advantageous
Detail oriented with personnel safety mentality – not just work safely, but promote a culture of safety
Honesty, responsibility, accuracy, integrity and fulfilment of commitments
Valid driver’s license and own transport
Ability to problem, solve, and adapt quickly to changing priorities
Ability to work independently, responsible, and to use initiative
A person with a keen interest in aviation would be preferred
Able to work in confined spaces
Excellent communication skills
Company is based near the East Coast, therefore the ideal candidate should be resident nearby

The successful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to:

Installs, adjusts, tests, modifies, repairs, and maintains electrical electronic parts, assemblies, systems, and equipment in prototype, developmental, or production aircraft, engines, and components.
Installs electrical and electronic parts, assemblies, systems and equipment in aircraft, according to blueprints, wiring diagrams and other specifications, using hand tools power tools.
Set up & operates ground support and test equipment, like test carts, panels, ground power unit and ground servicing cart, to perform functional and continuity test of electrical electronic systems.
Install components according to blueprint specifications / engineering drawings
Training on harness building will be provided.
