Automotive Shift Electrician

• Grade 12
• Electrical Trade Test
• 5 years post learnership experience
• Knowledge of PLC’s
• Experience in WRT Electrical and Mechanical maintenance
• Knowledge of ISO 14001
• Be able to fault find in a panel with or without a diagram

Duties

• Must be able to work from a diagram
• Be able to build panels
• Be prepared to do some mechanical work within reason
• Be able to fault find in a panel with or without a diagram
• Be prepared to work on PLC’s and dedicated electronics
• Practice synchronous manufacturing at all times in order to eliminate unnecessary work and reduce inefficiencies
• Attend to breakdowns whenever necessary
• Follow a preventative maintenance system WRT Electrical/Mechanical maintenance and maintain paperwork in order
• Adhere to company’s safety policy
• Adhere to company rules and regulations
• Maintain good housekeeping in own department and wherever working
• Be aware of ISO 14001 targets and objectives and assist the Management Team in achieving these
