  • Grade 12
  • Millwright Trade Test
  • 5 years post Millwright learnership experience
  • Knowledge with PLC’s
  • Good in fault finding
  • Good Electrical and Mechanical maintenance
  • Knowledge of ISO/TS16949, ISO 14001 and OSHAS 18001
  • Be able to work from a diagram

Duties

  • Maintain application equipment to ensure production readiness
  • Maintain equipment and components of the paint distribution system
  • Manage an effective process to repair defective application equipment
  • Manage and maintain all application equipment (mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic) in good working condition
  • Provide input and support to ensure all preventative, predictive, breakdown maintenance in all application/ paint shop process equipment and machinery is carried out to standard,
  • Root cause analysis, identification and elimination
  • Optimise application equipment to ensure sustained quality in application process, documented in accordance with quality control system requirements
  • Support and provide input to TPM
  • Actively participate in the preparation and submission of all paint shop proposals for recording and verification to ensure continuous improvement and optimisation
  • Manage, control and record spare parts usage and ensure optimum stock levels
  • Monitor and analyses all equipment breakdowns and provide statistical reporting on trends and occurrences
  • Use of effective problem-solving techniques to determine root cause analysis of failures and defects
  • Programme/teach of new production components to ensure optimum product introduction
  • Support start-up and shut down processes of the plant
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders (Production, Quality, Laboratory) where and when required to ensure continuous supply and provision of maintenance related support and resources
  • To assist with the development, introduction and sustainability of the maintenance program
  • To ensure compliance to Company policies/procedures and all legislative requirements and to timeously inform management of any deviations
  • To adhere to all aspects of the OSHACT, ISO/TS16949, ISO14001 and OSHAS 18001
  • To ensure all electrical and mechanical installations are done according to SANS regulations
  • To ensure all equipment, power and hand tools are in good and safe working condition and operated, stored and maintained in accordance with specific requirement
  • To assist with other tasks that may be deemed to be operational, which responsibility should not unduly be withheld
  • To be on standby duties and work overtime when deemed necessary in accordance with the stipulations in the company policies and procedures relating to overtime and standby requirements
  • To be responsible for own self-development and actively contribute to the overall development of the team
