Job Description

Our client is looking for a Broker / Business Developer to join their team in Umhlanga.

Responsibilities:

• Follow internal marketing procedures by appropriately presenting the image of the company to clients
• Keep up to date with product knowledge
• Negotiation of new business terms and rates
• Going out to clients to discuss renewals and amendments to policies
• Dealing with all aspects of new business including the FAIS documentation required
• Communicating effectively with the underwriting team to ensure that new business is written and processed effectively
• Communicating effectively between the client and underwriting and claims
• Following up on renewal instructions with clients
• Client retention and servicing of current portfolio as well as all new business written by the candidate
• Meeting close-off deadlines
• Growing existing accounts
• Meet all KPI’s as laid down by the company
• Be compliant in all activities in accordance with regulations and standards of all insurance regulations and professional guidelines and ethics

Qualifications

• Matric Grade 12
• FAIS Credits
• RE 5

Skills

• Preferably English and Afrikaans speaking
• Proven Sales track record
• Valid Code 8 drivers license
