An exciting opportunity has become available with one of the country’s leading hospitality companies. My client is looking for an experienced BID Coordinator to take responsibility for the compilation and submission of bids/tenders, ensuring high quality, compliant and compelling submissions

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The successful incumbent will be responsible for:

Researching potential business for by looking at adverts and tenders on various platforms.
Bidding process and preparing bid templates
Arranging a bid/no bid meeting within 24 hours of receiving a bid
Attending client briefing sessions
Adhering to bid response guidelines and preparing the files and documentation for tenders
Ensuring tenders are clearly read and that functional requirements are fully met
Creating documents to ensure tenders are 100% complaint e.g., drafting of documents and references to meet functional requirements
Creating Proposals by developing proposal approaches, writing sections, reviewing the contributions of others, and ensuring proposal quality and compliance
Researching, writing, and organising information in a professional and credible manner
Ensuring that tender submissions are completed on time and make required arrangements for the tender to reach the client before the closing time
Maintaining an accurate filing system with specific reference to client and tender documentation
Creating and assist with client presentation
Arranging and conduct tender presentation dry run of the demo
Creating and foster relationships with clients, partners, and associates
Submitting monthly flash reports and quarterly board reports on tenders submitted

The ideal candidate has:

Journalism/Sales/Marketing/ Qualification advantages (equivalent to an NQF level 5 is preferable)
At least 2 – 5 years’ experience
Financial acumen
Must have tourism and travel experience
