Job Description

A successful incumbent will be responsible for:

• Receiving inspection
• First off and last off inspection
• Using and Calibrating of inspection instruments
• Filling in and accepting inspection reports
• Measuring on micrometers
• Mechanical sizing and different types of raw materials
• Understand machining capabilities and finishes (CNC machines, i.e. CNC lathe, CNC milling)
• Doing jobbing and custom manufacturing
• Good grasping of standards and anomalies to those standards
• Understanding drawings
• Mechanical engineering background or understanding

Qualifications

• Matric
• Mechanical/Quality related qualification

Skills

• Computer literate
• Good grasping of standards and anomalies to those standards
• Understanding drawings
• Mechanical engineering background or understanding
