Remuneration

In this role, you will offer technical and specialist support to the workshop staff, ensuring top-quality service for their customers. You’ll boost service sales and profitability by building customer confidence through exceptional service. Additionally, you'll maintain high service levels and productivity while coaching and mentoring the team.
POSITION INFO:
Duties include
- Oversee and track labor sales and workshop profitability, ensuring effective workshop planning at all times
- Schedule workshop production based on staff availability and productivity
- Address escalated technical issues in the workshop as they arise
- Inspect all serviced vehicles and assist with parts ordering
- Maintain excellent housekeeping within the department
- Oversee the training of all service staff
- Provide feedback to workshop staff on individual performance relative to targets
- Monitor work in progress (WIP) on all vehicles in the workshop daily to maintain acceptable levels
- Manage financial and non-financial risks within the department
- Promote and drive personal and professional development
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
- Keep the workshop clean and organized, ensuring tools and equipment are properly maintained and stored
Requirements: - Senior Certificate (Grade 12)
- Technician Qualification – Red Seal
- Proven experience as a Motorcycle & Scooter Technician
- A minimum of 5 years Technician/Motor Industry experience in a dealership is essential
- Supervisory/Foreman experience in a Workshop would be highly advantageous
- The aptitude and competency to manage a team effectively
- Diagnostic Ability/Skills
