Qualifications / Requirements:

• Minimum of tertiary qualification of Honours / Masters Degree in Development Economics / Management
• Minimum of 6 years experience in business management with an economic development flair
• Research knowledge and experience highly advantageous
• Knowledge in project management / economic development
• Knowledge of the policy environmental particularly the economic policy, industry and dynamics
• Knowledge of trade promotion issues and Government trade policies / incentives
• Good writing skills and ability to write up reports and provide formalised feedback to key stakeholders
• Strong communication and relational skills when gathering information, interpreting data and presenting results
• Analytical and numerical skills
• Detail orientated and critical thinking skills
• Valid drivers license and own vehicle 

Key Performance Areas:

• Plan and implement the strategy in line with the overall strategic plan for the company
• Business intelligence and knowledge management:
• Develop and maintain the business intelligence platform by ensuring scheduled updating of business intelligence reports, dashboards and databases
• Provide the business intelligence required by businesses for intermediate, short and long term decision making purpose in line with the prioritized research areas
• Conduct research amongst targeted economic sectors and membership clusters to provide data-driven strategies and projects
