Minimum Requirements

• Minimum B-Tec or BEng / Ba / BSc Degree • A minimum of at least 2 years’ experience in clinical / biomedical engineering practice. • Computer literacy • Provision of level 2 applied clinical engineering service on all related devices/equipment, within the scope of the Company DLM/i-DLM/r-DLM/PPV/PPM program Structuring of business transactions and advising on procurement strategy. • Candidate must display an incremental level of understanding of the management processes of medical devices • Candidates should also display an understanding of all impact factors inclusive of regulatory, Quality and environmental factors and processes. • High degree of technical ability. • Ability to meet demanding deadlines. • Diligent at all times as well as neat and tidy both on himself in person as well as in any on-site/off-site capacity while representing the Company.

Duties And Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:

• The employee is expected to perform all necessary tasks between the employer and the customer(s). • Provision of technical advice to the customer with relation to new equipment via pre-defined pre-purchase questionnaires (this will be done under strict management by a supervisor). • Provision of technical service with regards to the addition of new devices purchased by the customer to the Company database system insofar performing all necessary pre-use inspections, electrical safety tests, completing all required acceptance and additions documentations. • Provision of technical services with regards to the annual and or bi-annual performance verification, Electrical safety inspections, OEM recommended calibration and preventative maintenance procedures as well as any regulatory maintenance procedures. The employee is further required to complete all necessary documentation with reference to PPM performance verification / service / calibration sheets. • Provision of technical services with regards to corrective/remedial maintenance processes, electrical safety inspections well as any OEM recommended performance verification and calibration maintenance processes post remedial/corrective maintenance procedures. • Provision of administrative service for the management of any sub-contracted equipment insofar monitoring of PPM procedures through contact with the manufacturer and ensuring such procedures are completed in time by the relevant subcontractors as well as documenting all relevant PPM sheets and Job cards issued by the sub-contractor. • Provision of administrative service for the management of any sub-contracted equipment insofar monitoring of Remedial/Corrective maintenance procedures through contact with the manufacturer and ensuring such procedures are completed in time. • Manage an administrative book of life system for manual paper trail purposes in line with any and all maintenance and related information processed on the Company online asset management. • Must have a good understanding of practices insofar concerning relevant Health & Safety procedures as well as implementing it. • Doing technical and quality control audits. • Tools and test equipment/analysers and simulators as well as any assets provided by the Company must at all times be kept safe and in good condition with emphasis on security and movement control practices. • Assist the administrative staff with any and all administrative tasks given by supervisors. • Ensure all data processing onto the Company asset management system is accurate on a monthly and quarterly basis.
