Key Responsibilities:
- Welding & Fabrication: Utilize CO2 and ARC welding techniques to repair and maintain machinery, equipment, and components critical to the manufacturing process.
- Mechanical Maintenance: Troubleshoot, inspect, and repair mechanical systems, including building, shaping, and fixing dies.
- Assembly & Installation: Assist in the installation and assembly of machinery, metal structures, and other essential equipment.
- Preventative Care: Perform routine maintenance to ensure optimal functionality and prevent downtime.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to strict safety protocols and industry regulations while working in a high-demand manufacturing environment.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to minimize equipment downtime and enhance performance.
- Technical Expertise: Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to ensure work is completed to design specifications.
- Workplace Organization: Maintain a clean, efficient, and organized work area to support a safe and productive environment.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Boilermaker/Fitter, ideally in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in CO2 and ARC welding techniques.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in machinery maintenance, repair, and installation.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Solid understanding of safety practices in industrial environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in the brick or construction materials industry is highly advantageous.
- Certification in welding or other relevant technical qualifications is a plus.
