SUMMARY:
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day financial transactions. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately recording financial data, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with legal requirements. This role requires someone with strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and a solid understanding of accounting principles.

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate financial records, including day-to-day transactions, sales, purchases, and payments.
Reconcile bank statements and balance general ledger accounts.
Process invoices, payments, and receipts.
Prepare financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
Assist with month-end closing and prepare monthly financial reports.
Ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations and assist with VAT submissions.
Collaborate with the finance team and external auditors when required.
Maintain organised filing systems for all financial documentation.

Requirements:

Proven work experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, Xero).
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Familiarity with VAT and tax regulations.
Strong numeracy and analytical skills.
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Certification in bookkeeping or a related field (preferred).
