Bookkeeper

SUMMARY:
Our client is looking to employ a process and system driven individual who will be responsible for bookkeeping functions of entities.

POSITION INFO:
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Recognised Financial Qualification
• At least 3 years relevant experience
• Excel – Intermediate to advanced
• Experience in financial software (Xero and CaseWare an advantage)
• Valid drivers’ license

• Deadline driven and diligent
• Accurate, organised with initiative
• Understanding of accounting principles

• Bookkeeping up to trial balance using Xero
• Reconcile bank entries and petty cash
• Monthly reconciliation of various accounts and the reporting thereof
• General administration
• Preparation of payroll reconciliation
• Review company bank entries
• Review invoices
• Review creditors and debtors
• Prepare VAT and PAYE calculations and returns
• Prepare documents for audit
