POSITION INFO:

We’re seeking a detail-oriented and skilled bookkeeper to support our finance operations.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and manage company bank accounts, deposits, and balances, providing regular updates to management.
• Process invoices accurately and promptly, ensuring proper approvals and flagging discrepancies.
• Prepare monthly financial reports, including cash flow, income statements (P&L), and balance sheets.
• Reconcile invoices and monthly statements, assigning payments to the correct cost centres.
• Assist with tax preparation, including payroll and business tax filings.
• Track and manage office expenses, ensuring accurate records of related invoices and payments.
• Handle sales and use tax payments as required.
• Collaborate with vendors to resolve invoice-related issues.
• Work alongside the accounting and finance team to meet company goals.
• Support audits and other financial reporting requirements as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum of two years’ experience in accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and payroll within a corporate setting.
• Strong knowledge of accounting best practices, including payables, budgeting, and tax obligations.
• Proficiency in financial transaction reporting and payroll processing.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office and Pastel accounting software.
• Exceptional analytical and quantitative abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
