SUMMARY:

We are seeking a Bookkeeper (NGO Industry) for a 3 year contract, based in East London, Eastern Cape

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:

Grade 12 with Diploma / Degree in Finance
5+ years full range bookkeeping experience in an NGO environment
Pastel Finance / HR Payroll certified and valid driver’s license
Excellent financial knowledge, fully computer literacy, with the ability to prepare reports
Comprehensive knowledge of financial information systems
Good communication skills in English

The successful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to:

Capture all financial transactions and petty cash control
Prepare / capture payments and reconcile bank statements
Ensure there are sufficient funds available and prepare auditor data
Ensure expenses are as per control
Complete, submit and handle queries relating to VAT
Adjustment journals, insurance updates and claims
Prepare payrolls and post contract staff payments
Submit EMP201’s, UI19’s and queries regarding UIF/PAYE/SDL from SARS
Capture supplier invoices, reconcile and prepare creditor payments
Debtor control and updating of debtors provision account
Generate general and project invoice and prepare list of outstanding invoices monthly
Generate printouts of project expenses for project leaders
Coordinate project claims and process claimable expenses

Salary : R15 000.00 – R17 500.00 per month CTC for the contract duration
