Bookkeeper (Temp)

SUMMARY:
A well-established, steadily growing, privately owned company has an opening for a temporary Bookkeeper (FTC-6 months, to start soonest).  This is a full-time, 100% on-site opportunity, based on Park Drive, Port Elizabeth.  

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

Reporting to the Financial Manager and Accountant, the primary purpose of the role is to provide assistance and support to the finance team.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Matric (preferably with Mathematics and Accounting)
• A tertiary qualification in accounting or bookkeeping is advantageous
• Must be SA Citizen with a valid ID, and a clear criminal history
• Valid driver's licence and reliable transport to work is required
• Proficiency in MS Word and Excel (at least at the intermediate level) is essential, for reconciliation and reporting purposes
• Pastel Accounting and Xero Accounting knowledge will be an advantage

• Bookkeeping functions to trial balance.
• Reconciliations and reporting (on Excel).
• Strong in administration – a lot of capturing and filing.
• Assistance with financial and BEE audits.
• Will assist in the day-to-day functional accounting responsibilities.
• Generating reports and summaries of financial data
